My morning bulletproof protocol

Every morning (except when I'm out for an early bike ride), I follow what I call my "bulletproof protocol"—a sequence of small habits that set me up to tackle the day with focus and energy.

Why I need this

I'm the kind of person who needs structure. Without a solid morning routine, I easily slip into mindless phone scrolling, procrastination, and other productivity killers. These simple rituals help me unplug my brain and take care of both my mind and body before the chaos of the day begins.

The protocol

  1. ⏰ Wake up - (5:50–6:00am) - Start the day early, before the world demands my attention.
  2. 🚰 Drink a large glass of water - (with lemon) - Rehydrate after sleep and kickstart my metabolism.
  3. 🏋️‍♂️ Movement - (10 minutes workout or 10 minutes stretching) - Get my body moving—whether it's a quick strength circuit or gentle stretching to wake up my muscles.
  4. ☕️ Brew coffee - (5 minutes) - Brew a proper cup. No rushing this one, it's part of the ritual.
  5. 🧘‍♂️ Meditate - (5 minutes) - Sit quietly, breathe, and center myself before diving into the day.
  6. 📚 Read - (20-30 minutes) - Feed my mind with something meaningful—books, articles, anything that expands my thinking.
